For you, I'll be pulling for South Carolina, though Clemson has been playing better lately.

College football isn't as big here in the northeast as it is where you are. The main 1A program up here is Boston College, so that's who I root for. They play at Maryland this weekend in their final game of the regular season. Then we'll see what Bowl game they'll get into and who their opponent will be.

Interesting college football fact:
This year will be BC's 7th straight bowl appearance, a school record. Their current five game bowl winning streak is the longest current streak in the USA.

BTW, I've established the korner as a link on my blog, which I've been meaning to do for awhile... ;>)

Thanks Nan!

green, Yeah, college football is HUGE here. I don't think we even knew what Pro Football was until the Carolina Panthers made it to the Super Bowl 2 years ago!! and thanks for the link!

Josh, Yes! of course. Hook 'em horns, baby!! Anyways, Josh, I do like your new look!

Living in California, I never actually met a USC fan. Wait. I take that back. In 1980 I met one. I was 18 and she went to the Universityl "of spoiled children"(SC) - go figure.

Yes, your longhorns have been very impressive this year!

Yes, the Longhorns are good BUT can they beat USC in whatever bowl game is for the national championship this year?

I don't understand why some coaches excel in college (eg Pete Caroll, Steve Spurrier, Lou Holtz)
but suck when it comes to coaching in the NFL (Patriots, Redskins, NY Jets, respectively.)

Happily for me, the Carolina Panthers lost to my New England Patriots in one of the most exciting Super Bowls ever played.
