What are you Listening to?

There is a popular song out, "Listen to Your Heart". I never thought much about it at first--it seemed like a nice, slow, easy-listening song. But then the words struck me, and I thought, "Why would I want to listen to something (my heart) that is 'deceitful above all things, and desparately wicked'?" (Jeremiah 17:9)

Slow and easy? You must be talking about the slower song! The one with the club beat is a-mazing...I love it.

But I think you are correct. You remember though, the lost wrote the song. What else have they to listen to? It only seems natural that they would listen to that one thing that they believe they can trust the most...whereas we have been gifted with an amazing Scripture and an amazing God.

I like the song, it makes me want to go kick someone's butt for some reason...

I know what you mean... it makes me want to kick my own butt! But, oh well, can't change past mistakes now!

the heart always puts the mind in a trance. memories of past loves and happiness. in and out an emotional rollor coaster the never ends and seems to never had a beginning. the mind tries to add or find reason in such maddness , the matters of the heart nows no reason just mouns and makes conclusions of "if" and "but", and shoulda coulda but yet no thought to reslove this maddness. sometimes its bestg to let the heart bleed till all strengh is gone. then the mind can take control. listen to your heart , let her moun and weep bleed, then move on. let thoser memories be a memory. sounds cold, rather that then shiverring from tear soak pillows time and time and a half.
