Kristi,

Happy New Year! I, too, must say I was pretty excited that Texas won! Thanks so much for your support in 2005, and I am looking forward to a greater relationship in 2006. You, Kc, and others have been such a blessing in my life. I thank God for you!

By the way, I did post, although I must admit my first post of the year was not as upbeat as yours.

Bill - sleeping is to life what football is to texas. Kristsi thanks you for visiting my site, she is getting rich. all visitors should include the code words "friend of Kristi" so she gets proper credit.

I do not use word verification, or test my blog on animals!

I have to admit, I didn't see the game. It's a little tense in our household. We're Texans, see. My family was one of the first into the county where we grew up. I even TAUGHT Texas history- for ever. I even have a Texas flag that flew over the state capitol. (It is SO tempting to get a pole in our front yard...but that probably wouldn't go over since were not in Texas any more. But I do have a refrigerator magnet!!!)Needless to say, we have to root for (practically) all things Texan. A Texan team definitly has to beat California, anyway. That's imparative. The thing is my Dad's a Longhorn and my husband's an Aggie. You talk about conflicted! To make matters worse, my husband HAD to root for UT this game. Not rooting for them is un-Texan. But then he'd be pulling for UT. So what do you do?
Root for Texas, yet sing the A&M Fight Song..."Saw Varsity's horns off. Saw Varsity's horns off. Saw Varsity's horns off! Short! A!"? Nope, that probably won't work.

Here's what's worse. I know the words to A&M Fight songs, cheers, and school song, but I can't remember the words to my almamater's. I also know a little of UT's. (What Texan doesn't?) Of course my almamater has been made to change their name, so I guess that doesn't matter any more.
What's the point of all this babble? I'm just really glad the Texans won!
Hook 'em Horns! Yee Haw!
